Confession time: I recently am was an operational system fanatic-Captain Windows. Then, my friend persuaded me to switch to the Mac. It may sound a bit exaggerated but the first time I saw the aluminum look and the simple one-item logo on the desktop, I was a bit apprehensive. Where was all of the icons that I am used to seeing and what happened to the Start Menu? It was almost like every command on the mac was a new way of doing things, the trackpad gestures, the Finder instead of explorer, the command key instead of control you name it. For me it was like coming to understand a foreign language, except that it had been right under my nose all the time.
